720 Swedes, Danes and Germans, along with representatives from a range of other European countries, participated in the Fehmanrbelt Days in Copenhagen from the 30th of September until the 2nd of October.

Political meetings, conferences and seminars on business opportunities, green transport solutions, research, the EU, touism, film and much more took place at Tivoli Hotel and Congress centre in Copenhagen during the three-day event. The event also went public, with the inflation of a giant bounty castle in the shape of the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel erected at City Hall, courtesy of Femern A/S, who also presented the central construction project through banners, posters, models and demonstrations. Tourism organisations and other actors got together to enlighten us on parts of the culinary delights on offer in the STRING region – a way for Fehmernbelt Days to reach out to the Copenhageners who can look forward to becoming closer to their neighbours in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein in seven years’ time.
