Political meetings, seminars, conferences, panel debates and speeches is not the only thing on the agenda – there is also ample room for networking and mingling. The Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen, hosts a reception in the representation rooms of City Hall for the participants of Fehmarnbelt Days. This is in relation to the City of Copenhagen taking over the rotating Chairmanship of STRING from Schleswig-Holstein in the 30th of September.

The Chairmanship of STRING rotates between the six partners, each period lasting one year. The Chairmanship thus passes from Schleswig-Holstein to the City of Copenhagen at the Political Forum on the 30th of September.

To commemorate this event, the Lord Mayor of Copenhagen, Frank Jensen, has invited all registered participants at the Fehmarnbelt Days to join a reception held at the City Hall in Copenhagen on October 1 from 18.00 onwards.

The reception will offer a buffet and drinks, speeches, the screening of a short film, live music, mingling and networking.

Other than being welcomed by the Lord Mayor at 18.45, the guests will also be kept up to date on the continuous cooperation and focus areas of STRING.

In addition to this, one of STRINGs cultural projects which will see the day of light during 2014/15, will also shortly be presented. Filmmakers from the three STRING countries will produce short films under the title ”Tales of a Region” as part of a cross-border short film competition, and the project initiators will present the competition through a short video trailer.

Tine Rehling, one of Denmark’s most prominent harpists, will entertain the guests with the help of her colleague, Danish master guitarist Mikkel Nordsø and gives us sweet tunes with a European feel.
