Femern A/S has just filed an updated and comprehensive application of the building permit for the Fehmarnbelt Fixed Link – a total of 11,000 pages.

In October 2013 Fehmarn A/S turned in a 11,000-page application for administrative building permit in Germany. After the following extensive consultation processes in Schleswig-Holstein in 2014 and 2015, Femern A/S has had a constructive cooperation with the co-applicant LBV Lubeck resulting in an updated application. On Monday the 29th of Feburary, Femern A/S filed the updated application to the independent certification authority in Kiel. Thereby, the German deadlines have been met.

The updated application material provides answers to more than 3,000 objections and comments from authorities, private individuals, citizens, businesses and environmental organizations. The original application is thus further improved.

Project Director Claus Dynesen from Fehmarn A/S says:
– We are very pleased that today we have delivered a comprehensive, updated application on 11,000 pages of high quality in Schleswig-Holstein within the set deadlines. It’s a great day for the project and for us in Fehmarn A/S.
