Get ready to create connections!

Sep 29, 2019 | Infrastrukture

Do not miss this unique opportunity to create new connections and to enrich your knowledge on the growth potential in the STRING region. Fehmarnbelt Days 2014 is by far the most currently valuable knowledge- and networking event for decision makers to whom the upcoming Fehmarnbelt Tunnel will massively matter over the years to come.

Over 600 participants helped make the first Fehmarnbelt Days in 2012, hosted by Lübeck and Hamburg, a huge success. This year our cross-border “family” meet at the Tivoli Congress Centre, Copenhagen.

A number of highly influential people will be part of the event:
Connie Hedegaard, European Commissioner for Climate Action; Torsten Albig, Minister-President of Schleswig-Holstein; Magnus Heunicke, the Danish Minister for Transport; Carsten Hansen, the Danish Minister of Housing, Urban and Rural Areas and several other ministers, chairmen of regional councils and high-ranking government officials from Sweden, Denmark and Germany.

Also the members of STRING Political Forum will attend:
Anke Spoorendonk (Chairwoman), Minister of Justice, Culture and European Affairs, Schleswig-Holstein; Henrik Appel Esbensen (Vice Chairman), First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council, City of Copenhagen; Sophie Hæstorp Andersen, Chairwoman of the Regional Council, the Capital Region of Denmark; Pia Kinhult, First Governor of the Regional Executive Committee, Region Skåne; Jens Stenbæk, Chairman of the Regional Council, Region Zealand; Dr. Dorothee Stapelfeldt, Second Mayor and Senator for Science and Research of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg.

Decision makers from businesses and business organisations from the whole region (some will be represented by Fehmarnbelt Business Council, FBBC) will also take part in this extraordinary event, and a brand new science network, “Science Link Network”, will be constituted on Day 1 of the event. Fehmarnbelt Days is a virtual buffet of knowledge and network possibilities within the themes infrastructure, sustainable growth, tourism and science.

This year, a wide variety of companies and organisations have also taken the opportunity to reserve an exhibition stand at the “Networking Village”. A limited number of stands are still available.

The three-day agenda lines up an impressive showcase of knowledge, presented to you by highly skilled experts and influential politicians from all three countries in the region. STRING contributes to the agenda through several conferences/meetings during the event within the themes of green growth, tourism, and cultural and geographical closeness to our neighbours.
